This was a rough issue for the Champions. Ironically, most of them don’t even know it, in a weird way. It was well written and gut-wrenching. Though I do have a ton of questions about this one.
Like, for example; is what happens in Champions canon for the other series? I’m assuming yes, in which case I’m very curious to see what happens next in (small spoiler warning) Miles Morales comic. I also would love to know what the long term consequences are going to be.
The conclusion to this issue was pretty rough, especially if you’ve been paying attention to what’s happening on the sidelines. I wouldn’t say it’s easy to miss, but it is at least a little bit subtle. I like that, but it also made the impact so much worse when I realized what I was seeing.
