My Review:

Bobbie Mendoza is ignoring Christmas this year. She doesn’t want anything to do with it because she feels it is bullying her. Her younger brother, Tad, loves Christmas, he actually wears an elf suit every day. Her Uncle Dale…well he’s a little strange but how can you be defined as normal with a spaghetti strainer on your head. With Bobbie’s Dad away on a job, Bobbie is just not feeling in the Christmas spirit and after her unfortunate accident, she might be actually ruining Christmas for everyone. When two elves show up in her closet it is up to her to save Christmas and stop the machine that is putting EVERYONE on the Naughty List this year.

I can’t even tell you how fun this book was to read. The illustrations just made this book so much more enjoyable and hilarious. I really liked Bobbie she is your typical kid going through a hard time with her dad away. I thought her Uncle Dale was so funny and might actually not be as weird as everyone thought. I loved the world build and how each character was done, so funny. The illustrations (as I said already) just create just a great visual for this story that add so much to it and the facial expressions of Bobbie has me cracking up.

This is a great book for Middle Graders who enjoy reading Big Nate or Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Even if your kids haven’t read those book this book is just so much fun and even enjoyable for adult.
