The title and cover to this book do not do the story justice. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started NO PANTS REQUIRED, but I found myself fully immersed in the story of Cam and Makayla. From the first moment these two are on a page together, they had that spark that kept me interested.

After a chance encounter on a flight from New York to LA, Cam and Makayla find their lives intertwined and need to figure out how to navigate a fledgeling relationship with each other while making the changes to their lives that drove them to flee New York. These two don't make it easy on each other, but when they finally figure things out it's great.

Cam and Makayla had an instant spark, but I loved how Makayla fought that attraction to Cam. She was insistent she was going to change the direction of her life and do something for herself, despite what she felt for this man. Cam pushes for more, but in a way that still allows for Makayla to make her own decision. This is how their relationship worked and made it so enjoyable. The push and the pull felt natural and you could feel it in your bones that these two characters really did enjoy each other (as friends and lovers).

The secondary characters were enjoyable as well, making me hope we get another book or two with Cam and Makayla's roommates (I smell a romance there).

Don't let the title to this book or the cover scare you away. It's so much more than either of those things. The characters are wonderfully flawed and an absolute pleasure to follow through until the last page.
