First, I have to say, I totally love reviewing books from local authors. Hope Toler Dougherty lives very local to me, so I'm very excited about being able to be a part of this tour for her. I was very pleased with this book! 

The characters within these pages are beautifully chiseled and really grab the reader's heart. Ms. Dougherty creates them in a way that is realistic and every emotion that they felt, I felt. The ups and downs of their situations kept me hanging on every word, every page turn bringing something new to the story. 

This is definitely a 4 star worthy novel! I loved every second of this edge-of-your-seat, heart pounding, soul captivating story. I fell in love with Brett, Mary, Agnes, the kitten and even Gigi. They all brought something to the story that leaves the reader with a fresh new outlook on life. From kidnapping, to rescuing and learning to let go and trust again, Ms. Dougherty creates a novel that you won't soon forget. I highly recommend this novel to all and I can't wait to see what she has in store for the next one.
