I always forget that Jackson punches you in the stomach with allll the emotions. Your heart will break, tears will fall and it will heal. Throw in a little suspense (just a little) and you're reading a story you didn't quite expect.
During the pandemic, my reading has changed and I've gotten a little specific about what I read. I'll definitely have to read this again during a time where not as crazy and overwhelming. I just wasn't all into it and I absolutely adore this author. Her books have some of my favorite, so this was definitely a case of "it's not you, it's me".
I did enjoy this, the chemistry, passion and love is rooted so deeply between Violet and Richard. I understood his reasons of why he had to stay away, but I struggled with his character. It was sooo heertbreaking to see it all.
Violet has been through soooooo much and my goodness, I just wanted all the good for her. Despite everything she's been through, she pushed and tried to be the best that she could for Daisy. Even though there was a void since Richard left.
Despite my mood, I think sooooo many will love this heartbreaking story. I truly enjoy a second chance romance and this will tick many boxes for people.
