This was a multifaceted coming of age story. Autumn was a lonely girl, who was carrying around resentment for many years. She is forced to spend her 16th summer with her father. This time with her father allows her to learn more about him and herself. She learns she is stronger than she thinks, she needs people more than she thinks and she loves her father. This story had a very sweet and adorable romance and a very heartwarming story of forgiveness. I loved Oklahoma! Charles did such a good job of painting this place for me and she filled it with so many wonderful people. I was very moved by the way the town supported Autumn and her dad when they needed them most. And Colt, he was not perfect, but he was quite wonderful. Overall, a very enjoyable read.
