Drawn to Life

by Elisabeth Wagner

Mia Lang always thought she could brave any storm, until a frightening turn of fate caused her to lose everything she once held dear—her best friend, her boyfriend, her career, and even her desire to live.

Hoping to heal her scars and find the will to face the world again, Mia embarks on an adventure across Europe by train. But when she meets Samuel Winter—on the run from his own troubled past—her whole world is turned upside down once more. Perhaps this time, though, the pieces will fall where they’re meant to. In this beautiful story of resilience and discovery, Mia is armed with the sort of courage that only comes from having nothing to lose.

I really enjoyed this book. Poor Mia lost everything she thought was important, by no fault of her own. She no longer wanted to deal with it all, so she runs from her family and what is left of her life and embarks on a European rail trip. She meets Samuel at the onset of her "adventure", and although she tries to push him away, fate has other plans. Together, they tour Europe and he slowly helps her heal. There are so many beautiful moments in this story. Moments of love, of strength and of faith. Just make sure you have tissues close by towards the end.
