Well that was entirely disturbing but I guess I enjoyed it? It was incredibly dark, definitely one of the darkest books I've ever read so I'd definitely take the warning at the beginning seriously. It's definitely not a romance for sure, though I don't know about the other books which I'll be reading next probably. At least the second one.

One of the things I appreciated in this book was the coping mechanisms Pim had to use to deal with the years of abuse she had to endure. I think it was very well written because of how it made me feel after reading it. I was just sort of in shock after finishing it and questioning what I'd just read. I'm interested to see what happens in the rest of the series.
