I “purchased” The Strange Case of Finley Jayne as soon as I finished reading The Girl in the Steel Corset (see my review here) because I loved it (and just like chocolate, I wanted more!) This is a short prequel that finds Finley between jobs when she starts struggling with the “darker” part of herself. We get to see a little bit more of her mother and stepfather and the interactions between them.

Finley’s new job is full of excitement and a bit of mystery that she quickly unravels, acting like the heroine that she is deep down. A definite must for Ms. Cross’s fans!
