I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Death By Library by Rebecca M. Douglass is an amusing tale of a small town, a natural disaster, and murder.

Can JJ figure out who killed the reporter and manage the holiday with an extra kid?

JJ MacGregor

JJ MacGregor is many things, County Library page, PTA Vice-President, mom, girlfriend, best friend, and the town's sleuth. It seems like there aren't enough hours in the day with everything going on, but JJ is giving it her best shot. Thanksgiving with lots of extra guests, including a six-year-old girl, turn into a crazy but enjoyable day.

Then there is her relationship with Ron, the Police Chief. He is ready to go to the next step, but will JJ agree? I like JJ and her group of friends. I will say that she and Kitty are fabulous together.

The Mystery

The central mystery is the murder of the investigative reporter. Then we have the question about the plot of land given to the school district, and where the new principal was when the earthquake happened. Oh, and what about Holly?

Four Stars for Death By Library by Rebecca M. Douglass

I like the mystery, characters, and setting; overall this is an enjoyable book. Therefore I am giving Death By Library four stars and recommending it to all cozy mystery fans.
