Hellboy by John Cassaday

Hellboy (Hellboy)

by John Cassaday

In a fantastic collection of short stories spanning time, space and dimensions, and starring a legion of unforgettable characters, Mike Mignola's world of Hellboy finds its boundaries stretched by an amazing array of comics talent! Within Hellboy: Weird Tales are skin-crawling horror stories such as 'The Children of the Black Mound', featuring Hellboy's ancient adversary, Baba Yaga; darkly humorous yarns including 'Midnight Cowboy', a hilarious tale of young Hellboy; and brooding stories rich in pathos such as 'Party Pooper'. Entertainment Weekly called it "A must for fans of Mike Mignola's retro-cool creation." Weird Tales contributors also number some of the finest names in comics.

Volume 2 of the Weird Tales compilations was much stronger than Volume 1, both in terms of art and writing. Each individual story seemed like it told a full tale, and there was a lot of variation in the art styles, some which were really beautiful.
