Can Cordelia change in the world?
Princess Cordelia
Princess Cordelia is our main character, who isn't afraid of getting her hands dirty while messing with machinery. She is one of a kind princess's who is the rightful ruler of her land when it comes time for her to step up. Cordelia is trying to show that the machinery can be more useful in more ways than just being used to make toys or household items. Except the mages are holding her back. She is a very tricky person to get to know.
I am sad to say if Cordelia were alive, I would stay clear of her. She is someone that I wouldn't want to mess with, let alone be friends.
Mustella
Mustella is Cordelia's faithful and eternal servant since the one she had when she was young is finally retiring. This young man was to be his replacement. He doesn't last very long in this tale, which is kind of sad. Even sadder, though, is the way that he hangs onto Cordelia's every word. I am sorry to say that these two don't make it, and he's a kind soul. Mustella is someone that I wouldn't mind meeting before he met Cordelia. After he met Cordelia, it seemed like the princess brainwashed him. His chapters were very confusing when trying to read them as they were written in the way that he would talk, which is weird.
Just like with Cordelia, I wouldn't want to meet him on the street. I am sad to say that he doesn't last long and that maybe he should have tried to be a servant and nothing more.

The Scion's Delight by Jeffrey Bardwell is the prequel to Mr. Bardwell's new series called The Mage Conspiracy. I am sadly unsure about this new series just from reading this one book. Granted, it is the prequel, but it just didn't seem to be what I was excepting at all. I am giving it a three-star rating and recommending it to anyone that likes dark fantasy.
