This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Jenny for letting me take part in this weekend Blitz. This is the first book I have read by Kate but the christmassy cover really drew me in.

This book is a prequel to Kate's new series Willoughby close which I believe is coming in the new year. In this book we meet Anna as she arrives in the Cotswolds for a quiet Christmas. She's not had the best time recently and needed to get away to clear her head. The last thing she needed on arrival was to find her room flooded. Luckily Colin comes to the rescue with one of Willoughby close's cottages.

Anna and Colin have this instant connection that neither of them want to act on. Anna is in a very vulnerable place and Colin is quite happy on his own. There is something however that keeps pulling them together. They really enjoy each others company.

This is a sweet Christmas romance that is perfect for those cold nights.
