The imagery is stunning in this book their are various scenes that the author is well able to paint the picture of what is transpiring through out the the story. The author really draws you in and if you thought action was lacking in book one well it very well stepped it up in this one and if you wanted more magical aspects to be painted for you you will not be disappointed.
I have always enjoyed books that draw from historical events and then author puts their own on the tale to fit the story they are telling. It also very nice when at the end of the book you get what the actual facts are so your not left with the question of what is real and where the story takes a turn. I do wish the author had given us maps to go with the story i truly feel books are better when we have maps to refer to. I also hope that the author returns to this story i really want more story. I excited to see what she writes next.
