Husband and wife team H. Chuku Lee and Pat Cummings do a good job a retelling the classic fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast with an African cultural rendition. Pat Cummings' illustrations are attractive as always and H. Chuku Lee retells the story in a manner I remember from an old film (including the rose, enchanted mirror, and ring). One more way to entice children into learning about fairy tales and other cultures.
