There was potential with this friends to lovers romance. But in the end, I felt like the storyline got rushed and we didn't get a true development of this romance. Sure they'd been friends for fifteen years, but I'd expect a change to their relationship once they started sleeping with each other. Maybe a deeper connection instead of it feeling like they just slept with someone who knew them really well.
