Superfan by Sarina Bowen

Superfan (Brooklyn Bruisers, #7)

by Sarina Bowen

Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.

Three years ago I met the most amazing girl in the world. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny.

But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.

While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.

But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.

She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.

Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing to win.

Superfan had me grinning from beginning to end! It was so entertaining and had my heart fluttering, thanks to our hot hockey player, Silas!

I'm not a major fan of musicians so I was slightly wary on reading this one. Sarina Bowen had my interest completely when it came to the musical aspect of the story. Delilah is so wonderful and down-to-earth. I love reading the flashbacks of when she first met Silas, and all those moments they would spent together at the bar way back before either was famous.

“Just so you know? You were kind of a big deal to me then. And you still are now.”

I loved seeing Silas so infatuated with Delilah years after they met. It was so adorable and sweet. I loved how Silas treated Delilah. To me, that's what made my heart flutter and had me with a smile from ear to ear.

I was glad to see this wasn't a typical romance when it comes to a Rockstar romance and a sports romance. It had much more depth than I had anticipated. And the characters were so likeable! There wasn't one single moment where I disliked Delilah, even though I for sure thought I would hate her. She truly was so sweet and caring and giving! There was only character I despised with all my being and that was Delilah's ex/manager. Man, that guy had me seeing red. Other than that, I enjoyed everything! Even Mr. Muscles! He melted my heart a little.

“Guy like that you hang onto. I would if he was mine. Hot and super nice. If he’s also good in bed, that’s like a unicorn right there.”

Overall, Superfan is a great second-chance romance that's very feel-good and will have you so giddy!
