Southern Chance is a small town, second chance, single dad romance which is told from the first-person point of view of the hero and heroine and can be read as a standalone or as the beginning of the new Southern Series.

A lie is like a rock being thrown into a pond, it has a ripple effect. Prom night was supposed to be the most magical night for Jacob and Kallie until a secret and a lie brought their worlds crumbling to the ground. Eight years later, Jacob has settled into a life of being the sheriff and co-parenting his son until a ghost from his past returns home when her best friend needs a place to hide. Jacob and Kallie had buried the love they had for each other until all the hurt, pain and love came rushing back with the memories that they built and shared. Secrets and lies hurt but love can be strong enough for a second chance if you can forgive.

Southern Chance is a second chance story of finding your way home and love. It is a rollercoaster ride of emotions where you will find yourself laughing one minute and in tears the next. Jacob and Kallie endured so much heartache and pain after having their happily ever after ripped from them by secrets and lies that their second chance at love was magical. Olivia had me laughing trying to be "country" instead of "city". This was a great beginning to a new series and I can not wait for the continuation of The Southern Series with Southern Comfort.
