This book was sadly a dissapointment. Though I liked the idea of the story told, and the world the author was trying to make, I felt absolutely no connection to the characters or said world.
One of the reasons being that the writing felt choppy, clunky and extremely none descriptive. Everything felt sort of shallow and superficial.
I often felt like information was missing which made me check if this was really the first book. I felt like it was expected I know things without actually giving me details. There was a serious lack of scenery or descriptions about the dirtounding setting, which made even action scenes feel very.... Incomplete.
The author also "cuts to black" very often and we are suddenly days ahead with no more info about what happened.
I really don't understand all the amazing reviews as I had serious problems even completing the book.
