I was so happy when I found out there was another Pepper Jones book and I was not disappointed. In this book Pepper is struggle with a lot of different issues - physical and mental. She has to work quite hard to maintain that level of determination that I love in her and endears her to me so much. There are also growing pains as she adjusts to many changes and challenges: Will she be able to live up to standard of being national champion? Will she and Jace be able to maintain their relationship with her in high school and him at college? Will she be strong enough to be his girlfriend with the "fame" that surrounds him as the UC quarterback? Will she be able to earn an athletic scholarship and to where? There really is a lot going on in the girl's life and Dean gives us a little mystery just to keep us on our toes. The best part, though? The end, when Ali Dean said there would be another book this summer. I loved catching up with Pep and Jace and cannot wait!
