Keys to My Cuffs continues the Dixie Warden MC series but you can read them out of order. Channing, our heroine, is beautician to the dead. Our hero, Loki, is a detective who starts out under cover trying to bust a rapist. This leads to their meet cute: Channing has asthma and tries to mow her own yard; Loki saves the day when she has an attack. But, Loki is under cover so nothing can happen. Right....

The overall plot arch is about the guy Loki is trying to put in prison and this guy is a slippery creep who just keeps causing issues. Channing and Loki are forgettable. I didn't dislike them, but I won't remember them. Honestly, it often seems like all of Vale's characters are interchangeable. Channing and Loki's relationship was nothing different from anything else I have read in any of Vale's series. Again, it isn't bad. The plot is fine, the characters are fine, but overall, the effect is forgettable.

Dornet and Lloyd are great narrators! This series is well narrated and since the books are relatively short for audios, they make for great binge reads.
