WOW! Another exciting and entertaining addition to The Four series. Cassius has been my favourite from book one and he has solidified his place as my favourite even more now.
Cassius... Friend, practical joker, and playboy extraordinaire. He is the life of the party and has never shown any signs of slowing down until the most unexpected person catches his attention in a way he never expected.
Jessa... A queen who has fallen from her pedestal and is trying to find her way again. Feeling like a hollow shell of herself and living in constant fear, she never expected the playboy to change his ways to help her rise again.
Story... Ever since the night at the docks, Jessa has been dealing with nightmares and when they come back to life she turns to Cassius and The Four for help. Cassius makes it his personal mission to help Jessa feel safe but as they try to fight the evil lurking, their relationship takes a turn that neither of them is ready for or expects.
My thoughts... I was never a huge fan of Jessa but also knew that there was more to her than she let on. I felt sorry for her and actually grew to like her in this book. The connection between Cassius and Jessa can be felt through the entire story and I loved seeing the softer side to Cassius and when it finally hit him what Jessa meant to him. I love The Four crew and can not wait for Zayde's book.
5 Maple Leafs... The Bonds We Break is the fifth book in The Four series and is a dark, friends to lovers, college romance that can be enjoyed as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the entire series in order.
