From the moment Keep this Promise landed on my Kindle, I was over the moon. Readers will finally learn the identity of the mastermind behind the human trafficking case. One will also have the chance to see Holden get his happily ever after. In this the final installment of the Rose Canyon series, Michaels delivered an emotional tale riddled with suspense, intrigue and romance. Grab a copy and prepare for a scintillating journey.

Keep this Promise was an awesome read from the first page to the end. The events centered around Holden in Give Me Love set the tone for Keep this Promise. Holden received a cryptic message indicating a package would arrive soon. There was no forwarding address. Also, he had no clue as to the sender’s identity and what the package in question entailed. Well, in this installment, he learns that the mysterious package is a blast from his past. A package he welcomed with open arms and one which changed his life by bringing joy and danger to his doorsteps.

Keep this Promise delivered the perfect blend of suspense, romance and emotional moments. The characters will tug on your heartstrings with their vulnerabilities and innocence. While their fears and uncertainties emanated throughout the story, one cannot help but admire their strength in the face of danger. 

The romance which developed was sweet, passionate, and filled with emotions. Holden and Sophie shared an interesting moment three years ago. Although that event lasted only for a moment, the connection they shared in that instant re-surfaced when they re-connected years later. I liked that they didn’t act on those feelings instantly, especially given the circumstances that led to their re-connection. The story highlighted Holden’s protective nature. We also saw him overcoming his fears, opening his heart, and embracing love.

I wondered at the connection between the events happening in Rose Canyon and the circumstances which led Sophie to Holden’s doorstep. Initially, it seemed like separate events, but as the story progressed and the connection became clear. Soon it all came together. None of my guesses regarding the mastermind was correct, which, of course, led to a shocking revelation.

You may notice the vagueness of my review, which is a deliberate act on my part to avoid spoilers. Now, although each book in the series features a different couple, because of the overarching plot, it is best to read the books in order. Keep this Promise delivered an exciting conclusion to the Rose Canyon series. If you are looking for a new series with the perfect blend of romance and suspense to binge on, I highly recommend the Rose Canyon series.This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
