A great royalty meets small-town romance

My rating is 4.5 stars

Four great authors have combined their talents to create a wonderful, quirky, small town where Christmas wishes come true! Tinsel, Vermont is a haven for those seeking to avoid the media – as it is against the law for paparazzi to invade the privacy of this burg.

I enjoyed the continuity of the portrayal of the town and could even picture the gazebo off the town square. Candy Cane Lane, with the intense displays in the yards, reminded me of a street in the town where I grew up. The idea of an annual decorating contest there was just perfect! And with a prize of bragging rights - well, who could resist that challenge?!

Liz Johnson's A Royal Wonderland, in which Prince Andrew tries to decorate a house for Christmas with the help of the lovely hardware store owner, Eleanor, was probably my favorite story in the set but there was stiff competition between the others. After all, it is hard to resist a king who is an avid reader and wears a flannel shirt as in Melissa Tagg's One Royal Christmas. The Reluctant Princess by Betsy St. Amant was a lot of fun with the princess and her chauffeur who has a surprising secret. And A Tinsel Holiday by Ashley Clark was a delightful "what if" ending to a story similar to one of my favorite movies Roman Holiday.

If you enjoy sweet romantic Christmassy stories, be sure to pick up a copy of Royally Yours!
