Jenny has it all , in fact in the first chapter of the book her life seems so unbelievably perfect I had a feeling that something was going to happen. Jenny literally gets the shock of her life over dinner with her husband. What follows is a wonderful story of starting over from scratch. Along the way Jenny meets wonderful, supportive and very interesting people on her road to a new beginning. This book surprised me in a good way on how the author dealt with a few heavy subjects in such an eloquent way. There are lots of challenges ahead for Jenny and her daughter has to get used to a totally different way of living. I loved how Jenny did not wallow in her unfortunate situation. I thought that Jenny's character was strong in contrast to her husband's weak character was an interesting comparison on how a couple deals with situations that come up in life, one half of the couple selfish, self centered and childish and the other half (Jenny) selfless , strong and resilient. I really had no idea how this book would end and there are quite a few surprises in this story.
I thought that this was a great story about new beginnings, friendship and what a family truly is.This review was originally posted on Cindy's Book Binge
