Jude Wilde, youngest of the Wilde clan, was always "the screw up". Because he always had a smile on his face, loved adventure and fun, it was a label that had been placed on him and one he tended to live up to. His biggest screw up: Elizabeth Pruitt....the woman he's been hired to protect.

I wasn't sure I was going to like Jude or Libby as the story unfolded. She seemed cold and bitchy and he was a little to nonchalant (or so it appeared) about things. But as the story went on, Jude displayed so many different layers to himself you couldn't help but like a man trying to break out of a mold that was never really a fit for him.

Jude and Libby had history. Big history. College "sweethearts" who's engagement lasted two days before Libby caught Jude with another woman at a bar. Fast forward eight years, both Jude and Libby are different people. They've been molded by the demise of their relationship and what they've seen and done since that time. But the moment the two of them are back together, the spark they had flares to life. Libby fought the spark. She didn't want her heart broken again, which she was convinced Jude would do. Jude knew, immediately, that he was going to do whatever he had to in order to get Libby back. She was it for him, and he knew it eight years ago. The lengths he went to and the smoking hot way he convinced her made it hard to put this book down.

I wasn't so involved in the mystery around who was threatening Libby, because whatever the reason it got these two back together and made them face everything that happened eight years ago and now.

I really enjoy Tonya Burrows style of writing. It's a perfect mixture of fun, suspense, sexy hotness and the emotional punch that will bring a tear to your eye.

Great read and one that is perfect this summer while at the pool or beach.
