Snowflake Sweethearts by Carrie Turansky

Snowflake Sweethearts (Love Inspired Large Print) (Love Inspired) (Bayside Treasures, #3)

by Carrie Turansky

"Annie, I have something I want to ask you."

She looked up, surprised by Alex's serious tone. "Sure. What is it?" "My grandmother needs someone to live with her when she comes home, until she recovers." She thought about that for a moment, then slowly shook her head. "I'm sorry, Alex. I'd love to stay with Irene, but I have a business to run and a daughter to support."

His eyebrows rose. "A daughter?" Her stomach clenched. She thought he knew about Emma. But how would he? She was just a former employee who got on the wrong track and found herself in a whole lot of trouble. Slipping her hands in her jacket pockets, she pushed those painful thoughts away.

It didn't matter now. She'd made her choices and she had to live with them. She looked up and met his curious gaze. "Yes, I have a five-year-old daughter, Emma." There was so much more to the story, but she wasn't sure if he wanted to hear it-or if she had the courage to tell him.

A sweet romance of second chances

My rating is 4.5 stars

Given the opportunity to review this book by Carrie Turansky, I couldn't pass it up, despite a full blog calendar!

Snowflake Sweethearts is a sweet romance of second chances.

Brought together when Alex's grandmother Irene experienced a heart attack, Alex and Annie struggled to trust each other. Abandonment issues from their past threatened to keep them apart.

I loved Annie's faith, which she returned to after making some mistakes while in college. She knew that God would not abandon her and sought Him and His wisdom in the hard times of her life.

This story has many tender moments. Some fun scenes made me smile, such as when Emma lost her first tooth and the ice skating escapade.

If you enjoy Hallmarky Christmas romance, be sure to pick up a copy of Snowflake Sweethearts!
