I received an ARC through NetGalley.

Vivian Apple Needs a Miracle just might be better than the first! Both are awesome, but the events leading up to the supposed "second boat" are crazy! How did people fall for this?! Is the Church really that desperate?! When is the world really ending?! This picks up right where the first book left off, and it immediately jumps into more trouble for Vivian and Harp. The Church is not happy that they've discovered the truth so there's a $1 million price on their heads! Luckily, Vivian knows someone who knows someone who can hide the girls while fighting back.

I was completely hooked by this sequel! Vivian Apple Needs a Miracle did read more like a Dystopian, because the country is in chaos! Believers are desperate to be part of the second Rapture. Non-Believers don't know where their missing loved ones went! And the weather is crazy! Red sky, sudden drops in temperature! The apocalypse is really coming, and people are flocking to the Church in hopes of being saved. Meanwhile, Vivian and Harp start working with a rebel group to expose the Church's lies. At least that's what Viv and Harp want to do. The group prefers more extreme measures.

The one thing that I was a bit annoyed by was Viv pining away after Peter! She's always thinking about Peter! Peter, Peter, Peter! Get a grip, girl! There are bigger things happening than your boyfriend possibly being held captive by the enemy. Although, at one point she did mention that being with him made her feel like a normal teenager. I can total get that. There's all this chaos and kissing is normal. After that I cut Vivian a bit of a break, because it's not like she's shouting everlasting love. She just wants him to be okay. So they can get back to kissing.

Vivian Apple Needs a Miracle has a lot of craziness in it and I will not spoil it for you all! Vivian and Harp find out more Church secrets and the Church sets up their biggest scam yet! I seriously could not believe that they'd go that far! It's madness! What's even crazier is how people still cling to the outrageous lies when the truth starts floating around! Fear and faith are a dangerous combination.
