Muffy needs a date for a funeral taking place in the town she went to college, which she dropped out of due to a very embarrassing experience. Tyler and Muffy had hooked up but then ended up ghosting each other. Tyler agrees to go with Muffy to the funeral as her date to try to prove something to himself. They will go to the funeral and then come home and go their own ways because nothing could go wrong at a funeral…
I enjoyed returning to the Thrusters world and catching up with some of our favourite hockey boys. I did laugh out loud and I enjoyed the element of not needing to be a size zero to be beautiful. I found the book to be a little slow between the comedy spots which made it take longer for me to read than a normal Pippa Grant book. I wish there was also a little more from the Thrusters.
