Luca has an aversion to relationships and love after being burned. Henri is a romance author who is addicted to love but can not seem to find her own love. After being left at the altar five times, Henri turns to Luca to help her learn how not to love. When Luca's Nonna arrives at his house and gives him "the eye" he ends up in a fake relationship with Henri to get his Nona off his back. While trying to avoid love will Luca and Henri be able to just stay friends or will love to creep up on them?

Real Fake Love is a grumpy athlete, jilted bride fake relationship romantic comedy. I had many points where I did laugh out loud in this book but it just did not seem to live up to a normal Pippa Grant comedy. I truly felt sorry for Dogzilla but at the same time, the cat seemed to love all of the costumes and being extremely lazy. Luca's Nonna was awesome and the way she poked at Luca was great. Luca and Henri are total opposites but they make for a great pair. The answer to the mascot competition is finally revealed. I can not wait for the next Cooper Valley Fireballs book.
