When I finished SURRENDER TO LOVE, I wondered how JC Reed was going to possibly redeem Jett. He'd completely used Brooke and she rightly told him to go to hell. But Jett manages to redeem himself and explain what he was doing to Brooke's satisfaction. At the same time, he alerts Brooke to just what is going on with the estate that she stands to inherit and vows to protect her.

We learn quite a bit about Jett in this book. In SURRENDER TO LOVE it was Brooke who shared quite a bit of her past but Jett remained a mystery. It was nice to see that this reformed bad boy talk to Brooke and share show he was and how he got there. It forced their relationship to be more about the two of them as people and less about hot sex (although they did have that).

The mystery surrounding the Luccazone mansion is threaded throughout the story, but I wanted more information. What exactly has been going on there? Who's involved? We get hints, but nothing that really moves that part of the storyline along. I'm hoping as we move into the next book, we more information and just how involved Jett's father is in all of this.

I liked this one, even with a cliffhangerish ending. I like how Jett was redeemed and how he would do anything to protect the woman he loves. Can't wait to see what happens next.
