I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley.com in exchange for a review. Release set for January 1, 2013 and is published by Scholastic Inc.

Teenager Jade and her family (father, step mother and younger half brother) from the country to a bigger town in hopes a fresh start. But they have moved into a haunted house, where another teenager died a tragic death. But was it an accident or was it murder. Jade's brother begins to tell her of seeing a glimmering girl in his room and her jewellery begins to get moved when she is not there. Things take a turn when the ghost becomes more aggressive and threatens to harm Jade's brother unless she helps find her killer.
I enjoyed the mystery part of this book, and I was kind of glad to figure out who done it before it was revealed. I didn't like the fact that the kids seemed so nonchalant about the ghost and the Ouija board. I also liked the way the diary was worked into the story and it had you guessing who the characters were when the girl who died only gave them numbers to identify them with.
A fun read and one I would love to put in my school library.
