Welcome to the Extreme Smut Olympics

***3.5 Stars***

Look, I’m all for a hero that’s possessive, crazy in love and devoted but this guy is EXTREME. If there was an Extreme Smut Olympics, Chad Butler would be a gold medal contender. What makes this Smutlete (athlete) unique is that he’s been out of the competition for five years. Chad’s been taking a rest from Smutting (competing) and using his skills to calm fillies, foals and thoroughbreds. So, coming back into contention with a shaky preparation means he is single-minded in his focus but needing a few run-ups to get to the finish line. Luckily, Chad has confidence in abundance and never allowed his body to lose its game-day readiness, especially as he is competing at such a high level of competition. Another attribute to set this Smutlete apart from the rest is his complete knowledge of Smutocabulary (vocabulary). If I’m not mistaken, he may have even contributed some new entries into the Smutictionary (dictionary).

All smut jokes aside…this story was WAY, WAY OTT!! But…that's sort of the reason why we read these kinds of books. We get a kick out of love at first sight. We can’t help but snigger when they’re claiming “MINE” 5 minutes after meeting the love of their life. We also might get a wee bit flushed and breathless when the big beast of a man picks up his very curvy woman like she’s light as a feather and proceeds to give her the business up against a wall.

Wrangler is full of cheesy lines and a plot that I could predict within the first couple of chapters. I kind of knew when I started Wrangler that I was getting a smutfest and in that regards, I was not disappointed. What did reduce my ratings a little was the extreme smuttiness got to a level of cringeworthy and the storyline was a little too formulaic. These are just my opinions, though.

If you’re looking for a contender in the Extreme Smut Olympics, I definitely suggest giving Wrangler a go.
