True Wallace feels like her life is spiralling out of control. She had a one-night stand with her brother's teammate, got evicted from her apartment and just found out she is now pregnant. Mateo can not figure out what he did wrong that had True running from the hotel room after their night together. He is determined to get in touch with her and find out why she ghosted him. When Mateo finally catches up with True, she drops a bomb on him that will change his life forever.
The Trophy Boyfriends series is fun and entertaining. The Wallace family is hilarious and always puts a smile on my face. The Espinoza family is just as, if not, crazier than the Wallace family. I was hooked to the story right from the beginning and did enjoy the story waiting to see the reactions that were going to come when True told her secret but other than that the story fell a little flat compared to the rest of the series. The only thing I struggled with was the romance and connection between Mateo and True was almost non-existent. I do hope that we get more from this series and the characters in the future.
