Another emotionally charged addition to the Southern series that pulls at all your heartstrings.
Reed has spent his life in his father and brother's shadow and has come to resent living in his small town. Joining the military was his perfect escape. Hazel and Reed worked together and before being deployed, they spend an incredible night together. Years later, they are both back in town for different reasons, but Hazel has a secret she has been keeping from Reed.
I could not read this book fast enough as the emotions just poured off the pages. I felt for Hazel and her situation. The connection and chemistry between Reed and Hazel never disappears even with the years apart. I loved how they navigated the road to becoming a complete family. I absolutely love this series, am sad that it is over, and highly recommend it to everyone.
