It really pains me to write this, especially since I LOVED book one and two of this series, but I just could not get into this book. I found it so tedious to get through. It is super long to start with. Not to mention I figured this was going to be the final book in the series, but nope, we have yet ANOTHER cliffhanger and another book coming. And since this book already made me feel like this story is being drawn out WAY too much, I doubt I am going to continue with the series.

I am also over Isla. I loved her sarcasm and sass in the first two books, but I just found her constant mouthy attitude immature in this one. The way she treated and spoke to Thorne (and pretty much everyone) most of the time didn't sit right with me. I got tired of the way she never took ANYTHING seriously. There is only so much over the top attitude a reader can take before it because stale, repetitive, and annoying. --- I reached that point very early on in this one. I feel that after three books Isla should have matured a little as a character, but she behaves the same way all through this one as she did at the beginning of the series.

On the positive side of things, I still think this author is an excellent writer. I am still a huge fan of Rick's and really would love to see him get a book of his own. Helen intrigued me as well. So yea, maybe I am just in a mood...who knows. I am sure many readers will love this one (rightfully so) so don't take my review as gospel. Read a few more before you decide whether this book is for you or not.
