This was not what I expected for this issue. For the record, I actually think it was better than I had been expecting. Which is saying something. The last issue hinted at finally (finally!) getting two characters back together – two I happen to ship, so major bonuses there. So I was pretty excited about this issue before I even got my hands on it.
The twists were not ones I was expecting…but then again Loki is involved, so that shouldn’t be too surprising, huh? Speaking of, I have to admit that including kid Loki in the team was a really good call on the writer’s side. He adds a lot to the series, though a lot of that could be summed up as ‘chaos’ for obvious reasons. He does fit in well with the group though, and he keeps the pace moving ever onward.
There were a lot of cameos from minor characters in this issue. I won’t spoil them by listing them all out, but I will say that they were both surprising and fun. Though admittedly I didn’t know/recognize all of them (I’m just assuming they have established characters based on the labels they were given).
