She lives for passion.

Bold, impulsive, and a magnet for trouble, Juliana Fiori is no simpering English miss. She refuses to play by society's rules: she speaks her mind, cares nothing for the approval of the ton, and can throw a punch with remarkable accuracy. Her scandalous nature makes her a favorite subject of London's most practiced gossips . . . and precisely the kind of woman the Duke of Leighton wants far far away from him.

He swears by reputation.

Scandal is the last thing Simon Pearson has room for in his well-ordered world. The Duke of Disdain is too focused on keeping his title untainted and his secrets unknown. But when he discovers Juliana hiding in his carriage late one evening - risking everything he holds dear - he swears to teach the reckless beauty a lesson in propriety. She has other plans, however; she wants two weeks to prove that even an unflappable duke is not above passion.

So. This book. I'm not entirely sure about it. You see, Leighton and Juliana's story really began in book 1. And while Juliana won me over right away, Leighton persisted being an arrogant asshole for TWO AND A HALF BOOKS. Maybe even two and three-quarters. And though I may like the reformed arrogant asshole on occasion, I'm not entirely sure Leighton is one such occasion. Duke of Disdain, indeed.

That said. I still enjoyed this book. It was scandalicious, and I might hate myself a little for that term, but it's quite true. Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke's Heart also had me wanting to pull out A Rogue by Any Other Name to reread. (Can you say character crossover? Yes, you can!) So scandal. It was all very angsty and forbidden and probably everything a book called Eleven Scandals should be.

You guys, I'm bummed this is the end of the series. I adored the St. John brothers. And Juliana was fun in her everything-English-are-not kind of way. They built an unlikely family and I'm not ready to be rid of it. Or maybe I'll just start reading A Rogue by Any Other Name again... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITHOUT MORE SARAH MACLEAN.
