"To keep her cherished childhood home, Samantha Everard must marry by her twenty-fifth birthday. Yet she refuses to marry on a whim, not even to save her fortune. When she returns to Dallsten Manor to say goodbye, the last person she expects to see is her handsome, disapproving neighbor William Wentworth, Earl of Kendrick. Will is certain the scandalous Everard family is nothing but trouble. He shouldn't care about Samantha's predicament, but her feistiness and kindheartedness intrigue him--as does her refusal to wed. He wants to help, especially when he perceives the threat that surrounds her. Soon his greatest wish is to persuade Samantha that her true home is with him"--Publisher.
I have been excited about reading the saga of The Everard Legacy as they were published and the fact that I just had not gotten around to it yet is all bad on me because this is a fabulous read. The Heiress’s Homecoming is a great romance and adventure. Regina was definitely able to take a story that I knew how I wanted it to end, but was not sure how it could possibly get to that point. She did it and entertained me along the entire way. While this is the fourth book in the series it can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone and as a matter of fact reading it first will really provide a desire to go back and read all of the rest of the series to understand the full background of each of the couple characters.
This cover is absolutely gorgeous and has to be my favorite for the whole series and of all Regina’s Love Inspired Historical titles so far. It’s gorgeous and makes it difficult not to just snatch the book up and read it right then. This heiress is a beauty, but she is spunky and her own independent woman and watching her struggle to do what’s best for everyone else as well as for love is an interesting emotional adventure that goes right along with the suspense of what make come in the end as well. Definitely a worthy read.
While this Love Inspired Historical is a mass market paperback and if you know me you know that size is not my preference, however gladly in this day and age they are available as eBooks as well. So if you’re like me and in the past have steered away from Love Inspired Historicals because of the size, you can now also read them on your Kindle, Nook or otherwise! Yay!
*Thanks to Regina for providing a copy for review.*
