I walked into this series blind, not realizing this was the 3rd book. The good thing, the author gives enough back story that you didn't need the other books to enjoy it.

Rachel is a journalist determined to write a story that is going to get her to network news. She decides an expose on the local BDSM club is the way to do it. Instead, she finds herself running from the law and trying to clear her name with the one man she shouldn't want, Dom Logan Bradford.

I wasn't sure I was going to like Logan and Rachel together. There first few moments of "page time" had me wondering if a relationship was going to be possible between them. But the more they were together and the defensive walls they had around themselves fell, the more I realized they were perfect for each other.

They each had their own issues to overcome due to their family lives. But once they understood they didn't have to be dictated by their past, they both seemed to embrace their feelings for each other. Sex helped them break through those barriers and understand what they meant to each other.

Blue Blooded was an enjoyable book. There was lots of action and intrigue, along with some pretty hot sex. The characters were enjoyable and the storyline kept me entertained. Shelly Bell was a new author to me, but I'm definitely interested in her back list now.
