Emily has returned to her hometown after she turned down her boyfriends proposal. When she starts working at Water's Edge Inn she meets the owner Charles Peterson. Charles is having a hard time getting the permission he needs to complete his projects, so  Emily helps Charles to learn the local ways. The two have such chemistry its obvious something is going to happen between them. When Emily finds out his project is to destroy her childhood home she's devastated and does everything she can to try to save it.

Jenny does such a good job of weaving in the subplots that Emily's family are involved in. They are relateable. The problems they go through are the ones that everyone has been through.

Emily's niece is adorable and I always have a lot of love for dogs so Flash was also  a favourite of mine.

I adore Jenny's summer books. Actually I love all of Jenny's books. I love her writing style, I love her characters and I love her locations. Chesapeake Bay is a stunning location that has beautiful beaches and glittering seas.

I can't wait to dive into the next book from Jenny because I know 'm going to be taken to the most beautiful location.
