So I started reading Akuma de Sourou when I was looking for some relatively short manga to pass my time with. This one is fun and mostly light, but it's definitely not a masterpiece of any sorts.

Even 11 volumes later, I don't know what made Kayano fall in love with Takeru. He was kind of a massive jerk to her at that time. He still did many jerk moves after, as well, even though the manga did a good job establishing he often took the route of "hate me" to spare other people's feelings instead of properly talking and fixing things up, which is Kayano's Modus Operandi.

Kayano cries a lot. And I do mean a lot. I don't think there was one chapter where she didn't cry. She's this pure, selfless character but god does it have to come with so much weeping??

What I did like about this series is that there is no true villain. No one is really bad in this manga. They do awful things, but they stem from deeper places. I DO think those awful things should have had more consequences though. Everything kind of resolved without anyone getting punished, even when things were getting out of hand :/

In the romance genre there are a lot of manga I would recommend WAY before talking about this one, and if you're looking for recs feel free to hit me up! (you won't find most of them on my profile here because I work on My Anime List for my manga and anime entries for the most part :P)
