This was a cute novel for those reading early chapter books. At only 100 pages, the book was a quick read, but might seem like a more substantial read for someone who's just beginning to read chapter books. The illustrations were really pretty and I enjoyed the overall storyline. The book's written from the horse's point of view which makes it a bit unique from other horse stories. This series would be prefect for horse lovers and as an entry series to the Hunters series, which is at the next reading level.
