The Assassin in 5F picks up right where The Spy in 3B left off and Lyra and Marcus are in for more of a wild ride this time around.

Lyra and Marcus have realized that they work for opposing companies and are supposed to hate each other just because of that. They have gotten themselves into an extremely dangerous predicament that is about to truly test their relationship and trust in each other.

Marcus and Lyra have not lost the tension, banter or spark they had even though she shot him. If anything it has made everything stronger. There are a couple of interesting twists that some I closed in on early but the circumstances surrounding the twists still surprised me a little. The Covert Affairs duet is a recommended read and should be enjoyed in order.

4.5 Maple Leafs ... The Assassin in 5F is a romantic suspense that is told from the first-person point of view of Marcus and Lyra.
