Caffeinated Reason to grab Marigolds and Murder

  • Pumpkin Contests, a murder, an old spooky Victorian and a heroine with an insatiable curiosity. The small-seaside town will have you packing your bags and craving pumpkin bread with cream cheese icing. This is the perfect fall mystery to snuggle up with. Just grab a pumpkin spice latte and get cozy.

  • Since this was the first book we spent a little time getting to know Pink and the local merchants along the main street. Pink’s flower shop is situated between the local bakery and a coffee shop. The owners have a competition for foot traffic. It was fun seeing Elsie and Les, try to one-up each other. Across the street, we have Lola who owns an antique shop and befriends Lola. Then there is a local dinner, a corner store and a boutique. Pink also befriends her sexy neighbor Dash, and annoys the handsome police detective, James Briggs. I adored the feel of the town and wanted to pack my bags.

  • When a local competitor of the annual largest pumpkin contest is found dead, Pink cannot help but use her unusual nose to sleuth out whodunit. This was an interesting case. Pink‘s gift, curiosity, and her Nancy Drew sleuthing skills soon have her investigating and consulting with Briggs.

  • The pets...I love Pink's pets and their stories and how they came to live with her quickly made her someone I'd like to hang with.
