Love fixed the itch.

I think Seven Year Itch should have been called - Wife, Mother and Woman with doubts and insecurities Itch. I've been there and done that and own the I SURVIVED THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH...AND HE LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT badge. It's hard work being Wonder Woman, and sometimes you can't help but let your game slip. This, unfortunately, is when the doubts and insecurities creep in. Anything strange or out of the norm will have you suspecting all manner of bad things. Which is why, Wonder Woman needs a Superman partner.

Now, Superman well, he can be known to have his own doubts and insecurities, too. AND, sometimes forgets to use his common sense and acts in a way that makes him seem more Lex Luthor than Superman. These things are sent to try us, but if you're lucky, you get more Super than Luthor.

I have to admit that I was a little frustrated with the heroine in this short story. I really wanted to reach into the book and tell her to have a little faith in her husband. Yes, he did some things that looked "suspect" but it was obvious (to me) that he still had the hots for his wife and cared greatly for her. But, like I said, I've had my own doubts and insecurities. It's hard to see the forest for the trees...if you've got your doubts and insecurities goggles on.

Anyways, I really enjoyed this little story and loved how it all played out in the end. Nice to see a couple who still have the hots for each other after the first few years of marriage. A few laughs, plenty of steam and an ending that left me with a grin on my face. If you're looking for a very quick romantic read, I definitely recommend Seven Year Itch.
