Can Leah find her boyfriend Gerry and get back home?
Rescuing the Prince by Meghann McVey was an interesting read and one that I am still processing. There was a lot of information put into this book. It was hard to get into the book until up to a certain part. After that, I was able to get really into the book. I did get the reasoning behind that for the author though. I am actually very proud of Leah and how far she has grown in this book. At times I felt like her personal cheerleader. This book is also all told in her perspective as well.

What I liked:
Leah is very different than most other female main characters that I have read. What I mean by that is that she is shy and has anxiety problems about meeting people and being in a big group setting. That is pretty neat to see in a female MC since we don’t usually see that.
Another thing that I liked about the book is that it’s set in I guess an alternate world which is pretty cool. That right there took time, of course, to get the information about the new world for Leah to understand it.
I liked how even though she looked like the lost princess she was able to make everyone thinks that she is.
It has a lot of plot twists in it that I wouldn’t have thought of for the book.

What I didn’t like:
I didn’t like how the information was massive overload for this book.
We have the magic system for the book that doesn’t even feel like a system. Then again, we haven’t really gotten a good look at it.
I feel like it’s a good thing the book is written in Leah’s point of view but then I also don’t like it since we only see things through her eyes which can be a bit weird.

What I am curious about:
I am curious if Leah is actually from that world after all? Or did she just somehow started showing magic after the dragon showed up?

Three Stars
Rescuing the Prince by Meghann McVey was a hard book to get into but a good read. I am giving it three stars because it did take me a while to read it and it was hard to get into. I have a hard time with books like that and this one was no different. It did leave off with a cliffhanger, so no real happy ever after. However, I will think about reading the next book when it comes out.

Anyways until the next time enjoy this review brought to you by
