What I really want to say to the author is well done! I am completely happy with this read for many reasons. Despite the paranormal layers, every element was easy to relate to, so thank you for that! I know with most romance novels, we get the oh-so corny lines (I do like them every now and then, but it's nice to read something that's not constantly corn after corn), but definitely not in this one.

Where do I even begin?

I loved seeing the individual development as long as the relationship development of Rachel and Eaden. We have Rachel, who is pretty much fearful of EVERYTHING and lives life routinely and in a box. The only moments she ever felt safe was with who she believed was her guardian angel, who turns out to be Eaden. Eaden has known Rachel all her life and when his being is physically known to Rachel, that's when they start to learn even more about each other. According to Rachel, he knows EVERYTHING about her, while she doesn't know a thing about him.

We slowly see layers being peeled away from Rachel and her strength starts to shine through. And Eaden opens up more to her, it's very mind-boggling to know that he has lived for 1,500 years. Someone who has lived that long is ever the wise and he just speaks so beautifully. It felt a bit robotic, when he talked, but I loved when opened up as you get further along in the book. And we get to witness the 'jokester' side of him. Rachel becomes his newfound reason to keep living.

I must say that there several times when it paced really slowly, but it didn't hinder much of anything. I'm just an impatient person and just wanted to know what happens next.

It was an intriguing read for me and I'm looking forward to her next installment in this series!
