This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from the Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Firstly thank you to Nicky for letting me take part in her blog tour, it's been so much fun.

I recently read Spirits of Christmas which I will be reviewing shortly. This is a kind of sequel to it but both books can be read alone.

We begin with Jude, Carrie and baby Maya at the end of the tour, on the 23rd December, at JFK waiting to take their plane back to England to spend Christmas with both sets of family. However things do not go quite as planned of course.

Jude being the nicest man on the planet offers his ticket to a rather hassled man so that he may get home because his wife had gone it to early labour. Jude and Carrie plan to go home the next day. Disaster strikes and they become stranded in New York at Christmas, and their adventure begins.

Jude is a changed man from last Christmas and he shows just how much throughout this book. Putting others before himself many times. His love for Carrie and Maya is also very prominent in everything he does.

Carrie is a great character and she clearly loves Jude just as much as he loved her. I loved how well she dealt with being stranded. She was very defiant and determined to make the most of what little they had.

I really loved Ray. He is literally the most resourceful man on the planet. Him and his extended family were very kind to Jude, Carrie and Maya in their hour of need.

This book really shows you that all the presents and all the food, as nice as they are the most important thing at Christmas is spending it with loved ones. Jude and Carrie might not have had much but they had each other and that was enough.

I would highly recommend this beautiful Christmas read.
