This second installment to the series was better than the first. I was so antsy reading it, I had to fight not to skip to the last page and see if the characters found their happily ever after. This book was intense, sweet and heartbreaking. During the WW1 WW2 love was fleeting because the next hour could mean death for one of the lovers. A doomed love. It broke my heart knowing that was where the story was progressing to and yet it still found it heartachingly romantic. I highly recommend this book and I hope the next one will be just as great. This book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books.
